First Responders sacrifice their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being for the safety of others.
Who looks out for the First Responders? I want to know!
They sacrifice what they don’t have (time, energy, resilience, patience, love, and compassion),
Which ultimately creates a hole in their soul.
And then they are so empty, there is nothing left to give their family, friends, or the citizens they serve.
Where do First Responders go with their hopes, dreams, and thoughts?
Living in the past is fruitless, living in the present is oftentimes painful, and who has time and energy for the future?
If they cannot live in the past, present, or future, where can they live? Where can First Responders find peace? I want to know?
