The Power of Being the “Observer”

The next time you struggle with a situation or thought, take a moment to separate yourself from the situation or thought and “observe” what you see from the outside. Think of the “observer” as your unbiased / objective self. Based on your observation, what would you tell yourself? Based on my experience, I am guessing that you would tell yourself that things are not nearly as bad as you perceive them to be and that you can handle this situation with careful thought, determination and a minimum amount of stress / anxiety.
