For the longest time, I thought of Flow Yoga as being the smooth transition from one pose to another, then I had an epiphany. What is flow? A person is in a state of flow when the challenge is equal to or just above their current skill level. A state of flow will not be achieved if the challenge is too hard or too easy. If it is too hard, we will become frustrated. If it is too easy, we will become bored.
So, my new definition of Flow Yoga is a yoga practice that challenges my current skill level, both mentally and physically.
Does that make sense?
